The original $50 face and back plates were engraved on 3 August 1888. The face plate was altered on 14 October 1897 by changing the year date and Series letter, on 26 October 1898 changing the year date and Series letter, and in March 1901 by changing the year date and Series letter. It was then altered on order F147 by changing the year date and Series and on order F2192 by removing the year date.

Two tint plates (#1 and #2) made on 3 August 1888, one face plate and one back plate both made on order F4151 were all cancelled on 13 April 1932ANBC.
